Streetscape GIS Mapping

Xyst was engaged by Maribyrnong City Council to map out streetscapes for use in a new streetscapes contract and asset management system.

Xyst began this process by analysing the GIS mapping information supplied, then building on this data to finalise the mapping of streetscapes and community centres. This process mapped amenity mowing, amenity garden beds, water sensitive urban design elements (WSUD), hardstands, landscaped areas and property boundaries.

This work took place across 27 streetscapes. Once complete, GIS mapping information was confirmed with Council and shape files were shared for future use.

Project Benefit

Council required GIS mapping to show the shapes and locations of assets through its streetscapes.
